Step 1:
Instructor must register for IACRA Access.  Go to
http://acra.faa.gov/iacra and click Register on the right side of the page. You will receive an FTN Number - DO NOT Loose this Number!  It is your personal FAA identifying number to use forever!

Step 2:

Instructor should go to
http://iacratraining.faa.gov and complete several “practice secessions” to familiarize with the system operation. The information to use while at the IACRA Training site is as follows:

ROLE: APPLICANT
FTN:
C1002825
Username:
delliott001
Password:
P@ssword
Knowledge Test ID: 1234567800002678

ROLE: RECOMMENDING INSTRUCTOR
FTN: A9005994
USERNAME: mrobinson003
PASSWORD:
P@ssword

WHEN YOUR STUDENT IS READY TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION, PROCEED TO STEP 3

Step 3:
Go to IACRA web site and have your student register for access to the system.  He/She will need his/her pilots license and medical certificate.  Have him/her record their FTN number and Username and Password in a safe spot.  I recommend inserting your FTN Number in your log book.

Step 4:
Once he/she has registered, have him/her log onto the system and start a new application. Once he/she has completed all SIX items, have him/her submit the application.

PRINT A PAPER COPY FOR THE EXAMINER The paper copy will read “UNOFFICIAL COPY” - This is OK

Write the students FTN Number on top of the printed application as well as the application ID that he/she will receive upon submitting the application.

Step 5:
The instructor should now log onto the IACRA system and retrieve the students application. His/Her FTN will be needed to retrieve the application.

Step 6:
Enter the students Written Test Exam ID under the appropriate link.

Step 7:
Review the application, if changes are necessary, select “Reset Application”. If the application is complete, sign (electronically) the application and select submit the application.

Step 8:
Call Examiner and have students FTN number available.
