The Private Pilots License is the most complex of all license. On the other hand, it is also the most fun and rewarding. To earn your private pilots license, here are a few things you will learn to do:
There is much more than what is listed above. The accelerated course is a great way to get your license and is the least expensive way. It will require complete dedication and an open mind. If going the standard route, it too will require dedication and the more often you fly, the quicker and less expensive it will be to get your license. It is recommended you fly at least two times a week and each flight is approximately 1.5 hours. We can work around your schedule. Call us with any questions you may have. Check ListPrerequisites □ Must be 17 years old for a private certificate □ Be able to read, write, and converse fluently in English □ Pass a written knowledge test □ Pass a 3rd class flight Physical - Flight Training Required □ Total of 40 hours to include:□ 20 hours with an authorized instructor (dual)□ 3 hours of Cross Country Flight Training □ 3 hours of Instrument Training - controlling the airplane solely by reference to the flight instruments □ 3 hours of Night Flight Training □ One cross-country flight of over 100 nautical miles total distance □ 10 takeoffs and 10 landings to a full stop (with each landing involving a flight in the traffic pattern) at an airport. □ 10 hours solo to include:□ 5 hours of solo cross country including one flight of atleast 150 total miles with landings at a minimum of 3 points with one segment being at least 50 nautical miles between takeoff and landing. □ 3 takeoffs and landings solo at an airport with antest.
